Situated at the edge of the idyllic Peak District National Park, Brailsford Golf Club is the perfect location for novice and intermediate golfers, as well for corporate or social groups. While Brailsford technically offers only twelve holes on its course, golfers can complete the standard 18 holes by playing six holes twice (Holes 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9).
The 5,758 yards, par 69 parkland course is beautifully landscaped, with majestic trees frequently lining up fairways from the tee. The signature holes here are the 15th and 16th holes which require crossing over two small scenic lakes from the tee.
Brailsford also boasts of 15 floodlit driving range bays with distance markets to help new golfers brush up their swing.
The in-house club pro and club owner, PGA professional David McCarthy also provides lessons for budding golfers and helps to improve their swing using video analysis before they attempt to tackle the course proper.
The course is open daily, subject to availability (after 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday).
* A £16 and £12 affiliation fees are applicable for adults and juniors respectively
